Proudly made in Québec
Made by the Quebc Winter Carnival Workshops, our souvenirs as bottle openers, and wooden horses are proudly Quebec-made.
Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
–‎ Implementation of numerous sorting stations, including garbage bins, recycling bins, and other bins for food waste collection. –‎ Organic materials are collected in purple bags (instead of being sent to landfill, they are sent to Québec greater urban area biomethanation center and transformed into renewable natural gas and fertilizer for the agricultural sector). –‎ Consignaction boxes available on-site for the recycling of refundable cans and bottles. –‎ A green brigade is present to help visitors properly sort their waste. –‎ Fresh water stations installed on-site to refill reusable bottles and reduce the use of single-use plastic. –‎ Recycling of event décor and upcycling initiatives to give new life to our materials. –‎ Printed program produced on recycled and recyclable paper.
Food waste
To avoid food waste, surplus food is recovered by La Tablée des Chefs, a non-profit organization that plays a vital role in redistributing recovered food to local community organizations, thereby helping to fight food insecurity.
Active and Shared Mobility

Inclusion and diversity
–‎ Throughout the Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France, the Jean Castor Family Space provides facilities for feeding and changing your children. A bottle warmer and games will also be available! –‎ We are proud to promote a culture of respect and tolerance for all gender identities and expressions. –‎ We are committed to celebrating and honoring the rich culture of First Nations and ensuring they have a prominent place in our event. We work closely with Indigenous communities to ensure their voices are heard and their history is celebrated.
Reduced mobility
Our sites are fully accessible to individuals with reduced mobility, but they are divided into four distinct zones: orange, blue, green, and purple. Please note that getting around between kiosks may be more difficult during peak times. For a more enjoyable visit and the best possible experience, we suggest coming on less busy days, such as Thursday or Friday. It is not possible to move directly between the orange, green, and blue zones due to the presence of non-accessible stairways. To move from one of these zones to another, you will need to exit the site and use a different entrance. To find the correct entrance, look for the pictogram and arrow that match the color of the zone you wish to access. Entrances marked with a red X are not accessible. Our sites are equipped with accessible restrooms and access ramps for individuals with reduced mobility, ensuring comfort and independence for all. Please note that due to the geographical layout of the New France Festival, the terrain may be uneven in some areas, which could pose a challenge for unaccompanied individuals with reduced mobility. Having a companion will help facilitate your movements in the Old Quebec area. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. RTC’s bus route 11 is fully accessible to wheelchair users and includes a stop at Québec City Hall. STAC’s paratransit service can also drop you off safely at the corner of des Jardins and Sainte-Anne streets. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
