Proudly made in Québec
Made by the Quebc Winter Carnival Workshops, our souvenirs as bottle openers, and wooden horses are proudly Quebec-made.
Recycling Residual Materials Sent to Biomethanization Plants
Biomethane plants offer a significant environmental benefit by turning organic waste that would otherwise go to landfills into biogas and compost.
Food waste
To avoid food waste, all leftover food is collected by La Tablée des Chefs, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating food insecurity. They play an essential role by redistributing the recovered food surplus to local community organizations.
Consignment
Special bins will be placed on our sites to collect used cans, which will be donated to Coop Les Valoristes. Coop Les Valoristes plays a crucial role in our commitment to sustainable development and strengthens our fundamental social ties.
Transportation
We encourage everyone in the Quebec City region to use public transit (RTC) and cycling to get here. Additionally, we'll have on-site bike parking courtesy of Le Vélo Vert. Le Vélo Vert is an employment integration company that collects, recycles, and sells used bicycles. For those coming from further away, we recommend carpooling services like Amigo Express.
Kids 12 and under get in free!
That's right!
Our Decoder-Medallion
The Decoder-Medallion features our "FNF" emblem in a calligraphy style typical of the era. It is also made of wood, compostable, and manufactured in Quebec.
For people with reduced mobility
People with reduced mobility must present their Decoder-Medallion to access the sites, but their companion (1) is admitted for free. Presenting the Leisure Companion Card is not mandatory to obtain free access for the companion. An accessible restroom for people with reduced mobility is available on our site. Our site is equipped with access ramps to allow wheelchair access to our higher infrastructures. Our team is always happy to accommodate festival-goers with reduced mobility. However, given the geographic location of the New France Festival, the uneven terrain, although accessible, may pose a challenge for an unaccompanied person with reduced mobility. Therefore, it is recommended to have a companion to facilitate your movements to and within our sites.
Gladius Family Space
Throughout the Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France, the Gladius Family Space provides facilities for breastfeeding and changing your children. A bottle warmer and games will also be available!
Our eco-cups
You will pay a $2 deposit for your eco-cup when you buy a drink. Get it back by returning the cup to our recycling bins at the exit. Additionally, we strongly encourage you to bring your reusable FNF glasses from previous years.
Upcycling
Our organization recovers abandoned or unused items to give them a second life: costumes, sets, decorations, etc.
